New York Giants’ rookie running back Saquon Barkley had the best-selling jersey on draft night in Fanatics history, an official from the apparel merchandiser told Darren Rovell of ESPN.
Rovell said: “The previous best-seller for Fanatics on draft night was Johnny Manziel in 2014. Because Manziel was drafted 20 picks behind Barkley, the Giants’ newest pick had a jump start of a couple of hours.”
And superstar Odell Beckham Jr., Barkley’s new teammate, believes the rookie running back is just scratching the surface:
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, the top overall pick, had the second-best-selling jersey, followed by New York Jets’ rookie quarterback and No. 3 overall pick Sam Darnold.
